Our story began with a simple but powerful vision: to create opportunities for girls and young women to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics not just as students — but as innovators, entrepreneurs, problem solvers, and future leaders.
A Vision Rooted in Opportunity
Founded in 2014, Girls STEAM Institute™ was created to address a growing need for more inclusive, engaging, and empowering pathways into STEAM education and leadership.
While technology and innovation were rapidly shaping the future, too many girls still lacked access to mentorship, immersive learning experiences, entrepreneurial guidance, and representation in emerging industries.
Girls STEAM Institute was built to help change that.
What began as a passionate initiative soon evolved into a global movement dedicated to inspiring girls to see themselves as creators of the future — not just participants in it.

2014
Girls STEAM Institute™ launches with a mission to empower girls through STEAM learning, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
